MEMBERSHIP POLICY

Introduction
Samrat Ashok Charitable Trust welcomes individuals who wish to contribute towards social welfare, education, healthcare, rural development, women empowerment, environmental conservation, and humanitarian service activities.
Membership of the Trust is governed by the Trust Deed, Rules, Regulations, and decisions of the Managing Trustee and Trust Management.
Eligibility
Any individual who:
- Has attained the age of 18 years or above;
- Is of sound mind;
- Has not been declared insolvent;
- Has not been convicted by any competent court for serious criminal offences;
- Agrees with the objectives and values of the Trust;
may apply for membership subject to approval by the Trust Management.
Categories of Membership
1. Lifetime Members
The founding members recorded in the Trust records shall be recognized as Lifetime Members.
- Membership Duration: Lifetime
- Membership Fee: Nil
- Rights and privileges shall be governed by the Trust Deed.
2. Nominated Members
Individuals approved by the Managing Trustee/Manager may be admitted as Nominated Members.
- Membership Fee: ₹5,000
- Membership Duration: 10 Years
- Subject to approval by the Trust Management.
3. Annual Members
Individuals wishing to support the Trust through annual participation may apply for Annual Membership.
- Membership Fee: ₹500
- Membership Duration: 1 Year
- Renewable upon expiry.
4. Committee Members
Individuals selected to participate in specific committees, projects, or activities of the Trust may be admitted as Committee Members.
- Membership Fee: ₹500
- Membership Duration: 1 Year
- Subject to approval by Trust Management.
Membership Approval
Submission of a membership application does not guarantee acceptance.
The Managing Trustee/Manager reserves the right to:
- Approve membership;
- Reject membership applications;
- Request additional documentation;
- Suspend application processing.
The decision of the Trust Management shall be final.
Rights of Members
Members may:
- Participate in approved Trust activities;
- Attend meetings where permitted;
- Support Trust programs and initiatives;
- Receive updates regarding Trust activities.
Rights and privileges may vary depending upon membership category and Trust regulations.
Duties of Members
Members shall:
- Uphold the objectives of the Trust;
- Maintain dignity and reputation of the organization;
- Follow Trust rules and regulations;
- Avoid activities harmful to the Trust;
- Cooperate with Trust authorities and volunteers.
Suspension or Termination
Membership may be suspended or terminated if a member:
- Violates Trust rules;
- Provides false information;
- Acts against the interests of the Trust;
- Engages in unlawful conduct;
- Damages the reputation of the Trust.
The decision of the Trust Management shall be final and binding.
Refund of Membership Fees
Membership fees once paid shall generally be non-refundable.
Exceptions may be considered only in cases of duplicate transactions or verified technical payment errors.
Amendments
The Trust reserves the right to modify membership categories, eligibility requirements, fees, rights, obligations, and procedures as necessary.
Any changes shall become effective upon publication on the official website.
